Just a Little Run Around Britain…
Call for runners, supporters & cheerers!
On Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2016, Simon Clark will set off on an epic 5,000 mile run around Britain’s crinkly coast to celebrate Ecologia Youth Trust’s 20th Anniversary and raise an impressive £10,000 to support our work with disadvantaged children and young people around the world. Running, camping, taking up offers of floors to sleep on, AND keeping up with work, he expects his journey of a thousand brief encounters to take one year.
To send Simon off in style – and add a few wee extra miles to his total (!) – we are looking for runners, joggers, determined walkers and ‘cheer on-ers’ to take part in…
Ecologia’s Easter Park Run
Time and place?
Leaving at 8:30am from the Findhorn Foundation Community Centre at The Park, Findhorn, we will be following a circular route to Findhorn Village and back through the dunes to the CC for Simon’s BIG SEND OFF at 9:20am from the Phoenix Shop.
I’m in! What do I do next?
Get training, find running/jogging/walking partners, and even set up your own fundraising page. We are also looking for people to wave banners and cheer Simon on when he sets off. For further details of the route and to let us know you will be there please contact Ecologia at info@ecologia.org.uk.
I can’t attend – how can I still show my support?
Please visit Simon’s Virgin Money Giving fundraising page where, in keeping with Easter – and as an alternative to the great chocolate extravaganza – you can instead buy a virtual Easter egg and help sustain one of the children on our projects. Money received goes a long way in the countries where we work so any donation will be very gratefully received.
Please also share the link to Simon’s page, follow his run on Twitter and help spread the word about Simon’s challenge. Offers of floors to sleep on and company along the way would also be more than welcome.
Hope to see you on Easter Sunday!
Happy training!
