A blur of red streaks by… What could it be? That’s right, thousands of Santa’s are running by. It was the Do It For Charity’s Santa 2015 Run! Thousands of Santa’s were there running for their favourite charities at East London’s Victoria Park on Sunday, 6th of December.
Ecologia Youth Trust had its own festive runners there from far and wide dressing up as Father Christmas and completing either the 5K or 10K track. I had a great time running with the students from Sevenoaks and St. Paul’s Girls School, London and together we managed to raise over £4,000!
The event is always a fun way to come together and raise money and support not just for Ecologia, but also for everyone out supporting their causes. Whilst running the track, there are so many people cheering everyone on, regardless of why you are running. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing with so much excitement, love and support. Dan, one of the runners from Sevenoaks, said this of the event:
I found the Santa Run such an enjoyable experience when raising money for a great cause like this!
A huge thank you to all those that came out to support Ecologia and making the event such a great success!
